I have a rather expensive habit: I fall in love with beautiful places far too easily. A terrace overlooking the Mediterranean, a little hotel hidden somewhere along the Amalfi Coast, a boat waiting in the harbor... I always seem to find a reason to stay one more day.

I'm Italian, and I believe pleasure is something of an art form. A perfectly prepared dinner, a beautiful dress, a glass of wine at just the right temperature — I appreciate the details. I enjoy luxury, of course, but I've never understood people who confuse spending money with having good taste. Some of my favorite memories happened in the simplest places, with the most interesting company.

I've reached an age where I know exactly what suits me, what makes me happy, and what I'm no longer willing to waste my time on. I take care of myself, love fashion, and have a particular weakness for elegant silhouettes and beautiful shoes. But I also enjoy the freedom of leaving everything behind for a few days, switching off my phone, and doing absolutely nothing productive.

I'm drawn to accomplished men, but not necessarily the loudest ones in the room. I prefer someone who is comfortable with himself, who knows how to listen, and who doesn't turn every conversation into a competition. A little old-fashioned charm is always welcome. So is a wicked sense of humor.

I can be quite composed when you first meet me. I like observing people, noticing the little things, figuring out what makes someone interesting. But once I'm comfortable, I'm much more playful than my first impression might suggest. I enjoy a little flirtation, clever conversation, and the occasional spontaneous decision that makes absolutely no sense the following morning.

My ideal evening doesn't need an elaborate itinerary. Somewhere beautiful, excellent food, a conversation worth staying up for, and the feeling that neither of us is particularly interested in being anywhere else.

After all, the best kind of luxury is having nowhere else you need to be.
